Medical calculators are scattered across different websites and apps with questionable accuracy. There’s no single platform that combines clinical tools, educational content, and professional development resources specifically designed for Indian medical professionals.

We developed a comprehensive library of medical calculators covering every major specialty. Doctors can quickly calculate BMI, drug dosages, renal clearance, cardiovascular risk scores, diabetic indices, pediatric growth charts, anesthesia dosing, and dozens of other critical calculations. Each calculator is designed for speed - results appear instantly with clear explanations. The calculations follow international medical standards and are regularly updated. We created an extensive medical knowledge repository organized by specialty. We built a video learning platform with exclusive sessions from leading medical experts. AI-Powered Medical Assistants

This is where JB Next truly differentiates itself. We integrated four AI assistants powered by OpenAI and Vertex AI:

Humeta AI: A medical AI assistant that answers clinical queries, explains disease mechanisms, and provides evidence-based information. Doctors can ask complex questions and get instant, accurate responses with references.

Drug Interaction Checker: Input up to four drugs simultaneously and the AI identifies potential interactions, severity levels, and alternative recommendations. This has prevented numerous prescription errors and improved patient safety.

Drug Dosage Calculator: AI-powered dosage guidance based on patient parameters like age, weight, renal function, and comorbidities. It considers individual patient factors for personalized dosing recommendations.

Smart Search: Unlike basic keyword search, our AI understands medical context. Search “chest pain elderly” and it surfaces relevant content about cardiac conditions, not just exact keyword matches.

Medical & Non-Medical Short Videos

We created a dedicated shorts section with bite-sized video content. Medical shorts cover quick clinical tips, case presentations, and procedure demonstrations. Building a medical app required balancing powerful AI features with reliability and data security. We chose Flutter for cross-platform development, ensuring consistent experience on iOS and Android. The native performance handles smooth video playback and instant calculator results.

The backend uses NestJS, a scalable Node.js framework perfect for complex business logic. GraphQL API enables efficient data fetching - mobile apps request exactly what they need, reducing bandwidth and improving speed. This matters when doctors use the app on hospital WiFi or mobile data.

MongoDB stores diverse content types - from structured calculator formulas to unstructured blog posts and video metadata. The flexible schema adapts as new content types are added. We integrated two AI platforms: OpenAI powers the conversational Humeta AI and Smart Search, while Vertex AI handles drug interaction analysis and dosage calculations. This dual approach leverages each platform’s strengths.

Performance & Security: All patient-related queries processed through AI never store patient data - ensuring HIPAA-like privacy. Medical calculator algorithms are version-controlled and audited for accuracy. Content delivery through CDN ensures fast video streaming even in areas with limited bandwidth. The app works offline for downloaded content and calculators.
